Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.  Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.

Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the
Revolutionary War.

They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

What kind of men were they?

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists.  Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated.

But they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.

Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy.  He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags. Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly.  He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding.  His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward. Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton. At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson Jr, noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters.  He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire.  The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt. Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed.  The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months. John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying.  Their 13 children fled for their lives.  His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste.  For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished.  A few weeks later he died from exhaustion and a broken heart. Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates. Such were the stories and sacrifices of the American Revolution.  These were not wild-eyed, rabble-rousing ruffians.  They were soft-spoken men of means and education.

They had security, but they valued liberty more.  Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged:  "For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor." They gave you and me a free and independent America.  The history books never told you a lot about what happened in the Revolutionary War. We didn't fight just the British, we were British subjects at that time and we fought our own government! Some of us take these liberties so much for granted, but we shouldn't.

So take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank these patriots.  It's not much to ask for the price they paid.

SALT LAKE CITY, Monday, October 29, 2007, Dr. Ken
Larsen, State Moderator of the Personal Choice Party,
delivered the required number of signatures to the
State Elections Office. Two-thousand valid signatures
will allow the Personal Choice Party to campaign in
the 2008 Election. Although he acknowledges that some
signatures generally may not qualify, he does not see
any difficulty replacing them.

The Personal Choice party, was so named after the
locally dominant doctrine of Free Agency. The Party
advocates nothing other than Personal Choice. Every
candidate is allowed to have their own platform. The
Party acknowledges that every candidate already has
their own platform. Most candidates will compromise
their personal platforms by accepting to run for a
platform they may not entirely agree with. The
Personal Choice Party provided candidates the
opportunity to run for office in 2004, 2006 and will
attempt to do so again in 2008.

In 2006, the PC Party was accused of 'skewing the
averages' of the election by selecting the Happy Face
as their political logo. Former Party candidate for
House District 35, Ben Valdez Jr., refutes this
allegation. "It was never the intention of our Party
to allow electronic voting machines at the booths to
pervert the voting system and further confuse the
voters. Along with the responsibility to vote comes
the duty to ensure that the very vote itself is secure
and that the voting method can be understood by all
voters." Other candidates have also expressed their
distrust and dislike for electronic voting devices.
Valdez also places part of the blame on the voters.
"Ultimately it is up to every voter to know who to
vote for and how to vote for that person, regardless
of the obstacles the government puts in our place.
It's part of being an American, to give a darn about
your own vote".

PC Party Candidates wish to present their Win / Win
solutions before the voters in 2008.  It also wants to
help clarify any misunderstandings in the upcoming
elections. The Smiley Face is our logo, said Dr.
Larsen. It stands for the Founders' belief in the pursuit of happiness.

Other political parties are also collecting signatures
to have the chance to join the election process in the
next election.

Larsen further expressed his intention to run for
Governor of Utah in 2008.  Regarding his campaign, Dr.
Larsen jested, "I realize that the current Governor is
more handsome than I.  I also realize he is a more
eloquent speaker.  But," Larsen said, "Utah deserves a
Governor who is more than good-looking and well
spoken.  It needs a Governor who knows and follows the
rules set forth by the people that govern the
Governornment.  Article I, Section 4 of the Utah State
Constitution includes the words: 'No public money or
property shall be appropriated for or applied to any
religious worship, exercise or instruction, or for the
support of any ecclesiastical establishment.'  There
is no provision in the current Utah School Voucher law
to avoid such a violation of the State Constitution".
Larsen believes that the Governor was required to take
an oath to obey those words which would require an
honest Governor to veto such an unconstitutional
bill."

Dr. Larsen also noted, "I may be less handsome and not
as well-spoken, but I would never violate the US
Constitution, Article I, Section 10:  'No State shall
enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation...'.
 I would not visit foreign countries as the Governor
of Utah when clearly that business is constitutionally
limited to the Federal Government and it's
Ambassadors.

Now, you will have a choice.  You can choose good
looks or good principles.  You can choose good words,
or a Governor who Will keep his word.  I will
understand and obey the will of the People, as
expressed in their Constitutions."

Personal Choice Party Makes Early Presidential Decision.

Ken Larsen, State Moderator of the Personal Choice Party of Utah, announced that his party held a State Convention today (July 28) to select a candidate for President of the United States.  The strategy of this early Convention was to give the candidate an advantage of a longer and more successful campaign.  Mr. Jay, said he would be on every state ballot, including write-ins where applicable.

Charles Jay ran unopposed at the Convention, at which the Moderator read a statement from him.  His victory was unanimous, with no write-ins or abstentions.  The Personal Choice Party now stands at about half the required number of signatures for ballot status, and Mr. Larsen claims that they will probably exceed the required 2,000 by the end of September.

Mr. Larsen called Mr. Jay to announce his victory and Mr. Jay responded with enthusiasm for his national campaign, mainly on the Internet, where he is preparing a "powerful" campaign site. http://www.cj08.com/

Mr. Jay has not yet announced his choice for Vice President.

STATEMENT OF CHARLES JAY
2007 PERSONAL CHOICE PARTY CONVENTION:


First, let me give thanks to my friend and colleague Ken Larsen for reading this statement to you today.

I sincerely regret not being there with you, but as I explained in an
earlier campaign letter sent to Personal Choice Party members, at the
moment the bulk of my time and resources is dedicated toward a massive effort to erect an online presence that not only will serve as the focal point of our campaign, but will make everyone proud in the way it can yield benefits for this party both now and well into the future. The internet marketing efforts we are set to engage in, which include extensive article marketing, search engine optimization, social networking, multimedia presentation and affiliate coordination for campaign contributions, will be truly unique among candidates in the 2008 election.

I am once again seeking your nomination for President of the United States. I run for this office for dozens of reasons, not the least of which is that I am extremely concerned about the direction this country is going in. And yes, I am here for Utah, because Utahns need to hear our message perhaps more than anyone else, and we are all in a position to deliver that message effectively.

I firmly believe in the concept of "personal choice," which seems to be
given more casual treatment with each passing day by the powers-that-be. There is an alarming trend in this country. People have become conditioned to the idea that its government exists to provide all the answers for them, not just as it regards their own lives, but the lives of others as well. This dependence upon government has created a concession to a level of control that is unprecedented, far exceeding that which was ever intended when the Founding Fathers drafted the Constitution. The sad fact is that politicians have more or less thrown the Constitution out the window, in the blind pursuit of power. And no one is stopping them.

Nobody seems to care. Nobody seems to object.
That is a tragedy. And it has to stop.
Benjamin Franklin once said, "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty nor security." Wiser words have rarely been spoken, but no one heeds them anymore. Maybe that's because it takes less effort to simply submit to government than it does to be vigilant. Since the era of the New Deal, the federal government has become the dominant force in the lives of Americans, and it is easier for citizens to roll over, play dead and get whatever they can for themselves than it is to resist. It is also more trouble-free for people to discard the rights of others if their own rights are not directly impacted.

But to paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, if you deny freedom - and I mean, ANY freedom - to others, do you truly deserve it for yourself? This is a true test, and one of my goals is to convince others that it is a test worth passing. We need to have respect for the rights of others, even if we may not agree with what they do; indeed, ESPECIALLY if we may not agree with what they do. But we live in an era where majority rule trumps individual rights on far too many occasions, and it is about time more people started to talk about it.

In this entitlement society, when government "gives," it invariably wants to "take" twice as much. People who want welfare and other "benefits" from the government are giving it permission to enter and exert control over EVERYONE. Our objective is to promote less intrusion of government on the lives of its people, and less infringement by people on the rights of each other.

My campaign is significant because the people involved in it don't just
talk about personal choice; we live it - day after day. And if you are the same way, you will understand exactly what we are doing.

HOW we are going to do it is what is most exciting. I don't know if we can change the world with one campaign. But this time around, we've got a good chance to get the ball rolling. We WILL be heard. Our campaign website will be the hub of activity. It will be a wellspring of information about the campaign and the issues we care about. It will supply a full interactive multimedia experience with video, podcasts, live radio, blogs, forums, polls and much more. It will be the equal of any candidate in any party. And it will offer one of the best opportunities for people to find out about the Personal Choice Party.

The website will be the fulcrum of what I would like to start calling
"fourth-party politics," which, to me, means a brand of politics:

* Where we can focus on specific issues we are passionate about, while at the same time remaining consistent with the Constitution and its fundamental principles;
* Where we don't abandon our philosophy or integrity simply for the sake of aggregating power;
* Where we understand that there are a number of different ways in which a "victory" can be achieved;
* Where we campaign in unorthodox and innovative ways;
* Where we can bring together groups of people who may not have popular views, but a right to them nonetheless;
* Where we value local execution as well as a national vision;
* Where we fight like hell for what we believe in.

I find myself with a tremendous opportunity in front of me. The internet is the most powerful weapon that can ever be placed into the hands of a small party movement. With the right technique and the right presentation, that power can be harnessed in such a way that it can be more effective than anything a so-called minor party has ever done. That is the challenge, and with the website we are building, as well as the team of individuals who will help us spread our message, through creative thinking and firm execution, we can meet that challenge.

I would like to turn this into a great opportunity for the Personal Choice party as well, by using this campaign to generate awareness for the party, the Personal Choice Coalition and the PC-PAC. We can drive traffic to the home base in order to bolster the core organization of the party. We can coordinate press releases to assist Personal Choice candidates running in Utah. We can help raise some money to assist ballot access initiatives or local campaigns. My presence in this campaign can not hurt you; it can only help you - and the party - in its efforts to grow and thrive and expand. Our doors are always open for Personal Choice candidates - please tell us how we can help you.

By the same token, you can help me as well.

* I want to promote an America where I can do as I wish, as long as I am not violating the rights of others.
* I want to promote an America where my lifestyle is not subject to the review of the majority.
* I want to promote an America where I can keep what I earn.
* I want to promote an America where I am not only protected from the invasion of foreign governments, but from my OWN government.
* I want to promote an America where no one decides what I can see, what I can hear, what I can read, or what I can ingest.
* I want to promote an America where the objective of government is not more power and control, but LESS power and control.
* I want to promote an America where the platform of every politician is the Constitution of the United States of America.

Join with me in the following campaign goals, which I will reiterate now:

* Registering people to vote, in Utah and beyond
* Providing a platform for political views related to limited government
* Coordinating with organizations that promote freedom, helping their cause as much as possible
* Encouraging young people to get involved in the political process
* Challenging conventional political thinking
* Gaining support for special issues that may not have the advocacy they deserve
* Gaining support for issues in Utah that are of great significance, from a Constitutional standpoint
* Educating voters on the idea of vigilance

Also, I hope to have at least your moral support as our campaign seeks ballot access in other states and official write-in status in all the
others. I firmly believe that, with the communications apparatus that will be at our disposal, there is very little that can not be accomplished. And rest assured that ANY awareness of the Personal Choice Party, regardless of where it is created, is going to have a positive residual effect on your own efforts at home.

I ask for your vote. It would be my honor to represent the Personal Choice Party in the 2008 presidential election.

We can make an impact. Just watch it happen!  Let's work toward a nation with more freedom, liberty and PERSONAL CHOICE. As I've said before, we are the best hope; maybe the ONLY hope.

Across the this great nation, in every state, the Democrat Party seems to be imploding. Head-less it is rapidly becoming heed-less of public opinion. They seem to have no platform, no effective leadership, and no significant values. It would seem the main thing they can agree on is ABORTION. Anything that is good and decent they attack with mindless abandon, like mad dogs, snarling, shaking and biting. And like dogs, their ex-leaders, and un-leaders rut with bitches, publicly abandoning any pretext of morality. And like Cur dogs, when challenged or questioned or bluffed, they slink away snarling, barking defiantly and snapping at invisible things in the air, all the time with tails tucked firmly between their legs. And like Derelict Drunkards they conveniently forget it all the next day. Theirs is a politics of blame, of finger wagging and "Neener-Neener-Neener" of I told you so, but never of responsibility, and never of ethical well thought out solutions.
 
The Labor unions have been sold out and abandoned by the Democrats. Minority groups have been betrayed and marginalized by them. They say that they support the troops but when they line up to slap them on the back, the troops begin falling with poisoned, envenomed daggers protruding from in between their ribs.
 
Back to U.S. politics... the Democrats' hearts bleed for the poor A-rabbs too. Oh woe! what should they do?  Well, the Democrats are doing, what should have been done to them, they are dieing. The only reason they keep getting propped up is to be straight men for Republican candidates and Radio entertainers like Rush Plush Bottom. So they can point out that we have a choice. When they implode I FEAR that this country will be left with only one viable political party. This can not be allowed to happen, because if it does, our constitution and our system of government fails. We are left with few options; we can continue to prop up the diseased corpse of the Democratic Party and tell the people they have a choice, OR as voters, we can start investigating the ideas of, and electing candidates from the marginalized Third Parties, 2006 must be the year of the Third Party Vote or history will record it as one of the last elections in that greatest of all experiments... Representative Democracy.
 
YOUR THIRD PARTY VOTE COUNTS! They need you, America needs you. They need your support. America needs your candidacy.
Don't waste your vote or your dollars on a republican/democrat... Spend it on Liberty and Freedom and Justice.
 
Our last election was lost before it even happened, before even one vote was cast. It was rigged. The number of votes cast, the percentage for each candidate by states meant nothing, No matter which individual or party won or lost the election, a self serving, once secret society, the Skull and Bones, would have a member in control of the Whitehouse, a member controlled by them.
 
This is not some wacko  ☠  kook theory.
Both John Kerry (D) and George Bush (R) are known to be, (and admitted to being) members of this secret combination. Do you really want America to become a Bush Family fief, or the fief of anyone at all, for that matter?
